LISBOA (Portugal)

The 1st Luso-Brazilian Congress of Horticulture ( CLBHort 2017 ), to be held in Lisbon from November 1 to 4, 2017, is an organization of the Portuguese Association of Horticulture (APH) in partnership with the Brazilian Horticulture Association, Instituto Superior de Agronomia Of the University of Lisbon (ISA - Lisbon), Luiz de Queiroz School of Agriculture of the University of São Paulo and other relevant Portuguese and Brazilian institutions. CLBHort 2017 has support from public and private companies linked to both countries .

CLBHort 2017 has the theme " Innovation in the Service of Business" and will be a forum open to researchers, technicians and entrepreneurs of the different branches of Horticulture (understood in a broad sense), to work in Portugal, Brazil and all other countries Of Portuguese official language (CPLP).

The Congress bets on the link between research and innovation, which is the motor of development in the New Horticulture , value-creating, based on knowledge and sustainability, in which competitiveness depends more and more on the capacity for innovation. For this we count on the involvement of researchers and business partners involved in the organization of this event, with the objective of creating a platform for translating knowledge aimed at its users and the general line.

CLBHort 2017 is expected to be the beginning of a series of meetings dedicated to technical-scientific cooperation between Portuguese-speaking entrepreneurs and scientists, using new information technologies to improve the performance of the horticultural industry in our countries and Competitiveness at international level.

The Congress covers all areas of Horticulture, with sessions on each of the areas, such as fruit growing, fruit business, viticulture and wine business, olive growing and olive oil business, herbaceous horticulture and ornamental horticulture and other areas ( see Programming ).

We will have technical visits to leading Portuguese commercial companies in the various horticultural areas in Portugal that use state-of-the-art production processes. It is a very relevant opportunity for business meetings between Portuguese and Brazilian leaders in the various horticultural ranks to deepen their knowledge and commercial relations in a complementary partnership to face the Globalized market. We will be able to attend high-quality communications, round tables and business meetings and leaders in the diverse areas on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
